The Problem

No SWMS. No WHS Plan. No Excuses — Not Any More.

Under the Work Health and Safety Act 2011 (Qld) your business must have a Safe Work Method Statement before any high-risk construction work starts — anything over 2 m off the ground, trenches, demolition, live electrical and more. Inspectors from Workplace Health and Safety Queensland ask for it first. Principal contractors won't let you on site without it.

⚖️

Legal exposure

Working without a SWMS for high-risk construction work is an offence. Fines apply to the business and the individual.

🚫

Locked off sites

Builders and site managers now demand SWMS and inductions before you unload the ute. No paperwork, no job.

📝

Wrong-state templates

Free internet templates cite repealed regulations, the wrong fall height, or another state's Act entirely. Queensland's Regulation numbers its provisions as sections, not clauses.

💸

Consultant fees

A WHS consultant charges $2,000–$5,000 for the same document set and takes weeks to deliver it.

Real prosecutions — published court outcomes (Queensland examples)

Scaffold company, Brisbane (2024) — scaffold tower blew over and killed a bystander. No risk assessment for wind or public proximity. Conviction recorded. Source$400,000
Residential builder + director, Brisbane (2024) — relocated Queenslander collapsed during jacking. No temporary bracing, no engineered lift plan. Company $120,000, director $10,000. Source$130,000
Construction company + director, Brisbane (2021) — worker fell 3.3 m from a mezzanine installing floorboards. Court found no Safe Work Method Statement was in place and no fall controls. Company $80,000, director $10,000. Source$90,000
Sole-trader roofer, Townsville (2021) — worker fell 2.9 m off a house roof. His SWMS said fall protection over 2 m; none was provided. Having the document isn't enough — you have to follow it. Source$15,000

All cases prosecuted under s 32 of the Work Health and Safety Act 2011 (Qld). Summaries from the OWHSP (Office of the Work Health and Safety Prosecutor) court reports. Every state runs the same enforcement model.

Your whole document set costs less than one hour of a consultant's time.

FAQ

Straight answers.

Are these documents compliant in Queensland?

They are structured around the Work Health and Safety Act 2011 (Qld), the Work Health and Safety Regulation 2011 (Qld) and the relevant codes. You still need to tailor them to your site — that's the law, not a loophole.

Do you cover states other than Queensland?

Yes. Queensland is live now; the other states and territories are being finalised state by state, because the differences are real — Victoria isn't harmonised, NSW remade its Regulation in 2025, SA and NT changed thresholds in 2026. Pick your state at the top of the page to see what applies to you.

How fast do I get them?

Instantly. Stripe emails your download link the moment payment clears. Most customers are fully set up within the hour.

What format are they in?

Editable Microsoft Word (.docx) and print-ready PDF. Open in Word, Google Docs or Pages. Add your logo, ABN and site details.

Can I reuse them on every job?

Yes. One purchase, unlimited jobs, unlimited sites, for as long as your business exists. No subscription.

I'm a subbie, not a builder. Do I need this?

If you do high-risk construction work — falls over 2 m, demolition, excavation, live electrical, confined spaces and more — you are legally required to have a SWMS regardless of who the head contractor is.

How hard is it to fill in a SWMS?

Each SWMS comes pre-populated with the common hazards and controls for that trade. You add the site address, the workers, and anything specific to that job. Fifteen minutes, not a weekend.

What's the difference between the packs?

Core is the legal minimum. Premium adds the trade-specific SWMS and registers builders actually ask for on site. Full Bundle adds the contract and payment paperwork that stops you getting burnt commercially.

Is payment secure?

Checkout is handled entirely by Stripe. We never see or store your card details.

What if they're not what I expected?

Email us within 7 days and we'll refund you. We'd rather lose a sale than have an unhappy tradie.

Can I share them with my team?

Yes — within your own business. You can't on-sell or redistribute them to other businesses.
